Eric concentrates his practice on the preparation and prosecution of patent applications in the U.S. and around the world.

Having graduated with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering, Eric’s areas of knowledge include agricultural chemicals, polymers and coatings, industrial chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and the engineering and manufacturing processes used to produce these chemicals. His practice also includes the preparation of opinions regarding patentability, freedom-to-operate and other intellectual property issues.

Eric’s experience includes managing a global patent portfolio for a Fortune 500 multinational agricultural biotechnology company. He has drafted and successfully prosecuted patent applications directed to a wide variety of chemical compounds and compositions, as well as engineering and manufacturing processes for the production of useful chemicals. 

Eric also provides intellectual property litigation support in patent lawsuits involving chemical and pharmaceutical technology, and well as support for post issuance proceedings before the Patent Trials and Appeals Board. 

As a member of Husch Blackwell’s Precision Agriculture team, Eric’s practice also includes advising clients on precision agriculture and other emerging technologies in the agricultural field. He has experience preparing and prosecuting patents involving agricultural technology, such as the preparation of treated seeds.
