Informal resolution is a long-standing method of conflict resolution, especially in sexual harassment/Title IX based allegations. Utilizing informal resolution is a growing trend since the U.S. Department of Education’s Title IX regulations took effect in August 14, 2020 across student affairs, Title IX offices and offices of institutional equity and inclusion. It offers an alternative to traditional resolution processes and creates opportunities for agreement, education, and growth. Join Husch Blackwell Higher Education Attorney, Aleks Rushing, for a presentation at the Heartland Campus Safety Summit, November 11-20, 2020, that explores the fundamentals of informal resolution, policies and procedures for Implementation, best practices/issues to consider to use on your campus.

The Heartland Campus Safety Summit is a regional and affordable conference for college and university administrators, faculty, staff, and students interested in improving their campus efforts to prevent and respond to sexual assault, relationship violence and stalking. The virtual 2020 Summit will provide attendees with remote access to view the presentations as their schedule permits.

You can find additional information about this presentation, Jana’s Campaign, and The Heartland Campus Safety Summit on the conference website. Husch Blackwell is proud to be a sponsor of the program.
