Husch Blackwell is pleased to announce that Myers Dill has been named managing partner of the firm’s St. Louis office. He succeeds Bob Tomaso, who will continue his active labor and employment practice after serving as the office managing partner for more than 20 years.
“Bob Tomaso has given more than 20 years of outstanding service to this office and to the firm, and I want to thank him personally for the leadership he has provided,” said Jamie Lawless, Husch Blackwell’s Chief Executive. “At the same time, I am excited about what lies ahead. Myers brings exceptional legal and technical credentials, an entrepreneurial mindset, and a genuine investment in both our people and the St. Louis community. He is exactly the kind of leader this moment calls for, and I have full confidence in the direction he will take this office.”
A member of the firm’s intellectual property practice, Dill focuses his practice on strategic patent portfolio management and the negotiation of complex technology agreements. He partners with in-house legal teams and business leaders across the life sciences, manufacturing, and technology industries, developing IP strategies that align with and advance broader business objectives. Dill also serves as a key connector to the St. Louis innovation community.
“It is a tremendous honor to step into this role, and I am grateful to Bob for his mentorship and friendship,” Dill said. “St. Louis is where I have built my career and started my family, and this office is home to some of the most talented and dedicated attorneys in the country. My goal is to build on the foundation Bob has established—supporting our people, deepening our client relationships, and ensuring that Husch Blackwell remains a firm that St. Louis is proud to call its own.”
Dill was named to the St. Louis Business Journal’s 2025 40 Under 40 class. He holds a Bachelor of Science in biomedical engineering from Washington University in St. Louis and a J.D. from the University of Illinois College of Law. Before law school, Dill spent two years as a Teach for America corps member, teaching middle school mathematics in Indianapolis—an experience that continues to shape his approach to client service and leadership.
“Leading this office for more than two decades has been one of the great privileges of my professional career, and I am proud of everything our team has built together,” Tomaso said. “Myers is the right person to carry this office into its next chapter. He has the legal talent and personal commitment to our attorneys and our city that this role demands. I look forward to supporting Myers and continuing to serve our clients.”
