Husch Blackwell's Watts Earns Texas Board Certification for Consumer and Commercial Law

News Releases

The Texas Board of Legal Specialization (TBLS) recognizes Jameson Watts.

Husch Blackwell associate Jameson J. Watts has earned Board certification in Consumer and Commercial Law from the Texas Board of Legal Specialization (TBLS).

The certification involves a demanding process, including peer review, continuing legal education, and demonstrable work experience in the field, as well as a six-hour written exam. Overall, less than one percent of all attorneys in Texas are Board Certified.

Based in the firm’s Austin office, Watts focuses his practice on commercial litigation and bankruptcy matters. He represents banks, private lenders, loan servicers, businesses, debtors, creditors, and other financial institutions in state, federal, and bankruptcy courts, as well as arbitrations before the American Arbitration Association (AAA). He also represents parties in construction defect matters and related disputes.

Watts practices in the firm’s Financial Services & Capital Markets industry group and is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute and the Texas Young Lawyers Association.

The 2018 TBLS Induction Ceremony and Reception honoring the board-certified attorney and paralegals will be held on Friday, February 23, 2018 at 2:00 p.m., at the AT&T Executive Education and Conference Center in Austin.
