Firm’s Healthcare Group Ranks First in Missouri

Husch Blackwell has once again been recognized by the American Health Lawyers Association (AHLA) for its attorney involvement and commitment to the organization. The firm was ranked 14th on AHLA’s 2012 Top Honors list with 71 members nationwide, ascending from 18th place last year. Husch Blackwell also ranked first in Missouri, with AHLA members in its Kansas City, Jefferson City, Springfield and St. Louis offices, and second in Colorado, with Husch Blackwell attorneys in Denver. Husch Blackwell’s AHLA members also practice from the firm’s Omaha, Neb., and Memphis, Tenn., offices.

Husch Blackwell was also recognized for having 100 percent involvement, with all attorneys in the Healthcare law department belonging to the AHLA, and for having active attorneys in every AHLA practice group. The AHLA is an educational organization comprising more than 10,000 members that serves as a public resource on legal healthcare issues.

Five Husch Blackwell Partners serve in AHLA leadership roles: Barb Miltenberger is a member of the Board of Directors, David Pursell is Vice Chair of the Accountable Care Organization Task Force, Angela Quinn was selected for AHLA’s 2012 Leadership Development Program, Harvey Tettlebaum chairs the AHLA Fellows Coordinating Committee and Cori Turner is a member of the 2012 Young Professionals Council. Tettlebaum was also recently named to AHLA’s Inaugural Class of Pro Bono Champions. Miltenberger and Tettlebaum work in the firm’s Jefferson City, Mo., office; Pursell and Turner in Kansas City, Mo.; and Angela Quinn in St. Louis, Mo.
