National law firm Husch Blackwell represented Community Clinical Research, a Texas-based clinical research organization, with its sale to PhaseWell Research.
The addition of Community Clinical Research establishes the foundation of PhaseWell’s inpatient neuropsychiatric research capabilities. The partnership also establishes a significant Texas presence for PhaseWell, providing reach across Austin and several of the state’s other major markets — including Houston, Dallas, and San Antonio.
The Husch Blackwell deal team, led by partner Hal Katz, advised Community Clinical Research on all aspects of the transaction, including negotiation of the purchase agreement. The Braff Group served as financial advisor to Community Clinical Research in the transaction.
In addition to Katz, the Husch Blackwell team included attorneys JP Barker (corporate & M&A), Christie Brunty (labor and employment), Amandeep Kaur (corporate & M&A), Jordan Bergkamp (benefits and compensation), Heather Gasper (real estate), Jack Rellihan (benefits and compensation), Rey Rodriguez (tax), Ashton Harris (healthcare regulatory), Kevin Erb (tax), Taylor Wood (real estate), John Gramlich (healthcare regulatory), Ethan Schroeder (corporate & M&A), Mike Dana (tax), Molly Hobbs (benefits and compensation), and Hansen Hoss (benefits and compensation).
