Overview

Kevin uses his deep understanding of tax law to provide clients with a comprehensive perspective in managing wealth and building their legacies.

Kevin routinely advises high-net-worth individuals, family offices, private businesses and tax-exempt organizations on a range of tax and private wealth matters. For individuals and families, he counsels his clients through the complexities of revocable trusts, irrevocable trusts, IDGTs, dynasty trusts, GRATs and QPRTs; gifts of family business interests, net gift agreements and gift trusts; and estate administration and probate. He handles day-to-day matters concerning tax law compliance, such as Forms 709, 706, 8971 and 1041, as well as representing clients before the IRS and state tax authorities, preparing IRS protests and appeals and counseling clients for IRS international streamlined disclosure programs. He also assists clients facing international reporting penalties.

For tax-exempt organizations, Kevin partners with clients to secure and maintain tax status and prepares Forms 1023 and 990 and their state-law counterparts. He also provides tax counsel for business entity formation and restructuring.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, Kevin advised clients on international and state and local tax considerations arising from work-from-home arrangements. He continues to assist clients with the evolving post-Covid tax landscape.

Prior to entering private law practice, Kevin served as a tax consultant with a Big Four accounting firm, where he advised clients on maximizing state and local tax efficiency.
