News Releases

Husch Blackwell associate Elizabeth B.N. Garcia of Phoenix has been selected by The National Black Lawyers for inclusion into its Top 40 Under 40 Black Lawyers, an honor given to only a select group of lawyers for their superior skills and qualifications in the field.

Garcia assists clients in defending against class action claims and other complex litigation. She also handles breach of contract and other complex commercial litigation for clients across industries. Before joining Husch Blackwell, Garcia served as a judicial law clerk in the Arizona Court of Appeals, Division One, and as an Assistant Attorney General for the Arizona Attorney General’s Office. She earned her J.D. from Arizona State University Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law and her B.A. in political science from Stanford University.

The NBL celebrates legal excellence by promoting attorneys as subject-matter experts, developing a strong national network of top African American attorneys, and facilitating the exchange of timely information to enable members to maintain their status as leaders. Top 40 Under 40 candidates must be nominated by current NBL members and are evaluated on factors that include an outstanding reputation among peers, the judiciary and the public; notable achievements, settlements, and verdicts as a lawyer; leadership and membership in other national and state specialty lawyer organizations; and rankings and ratings by leading national evaluation organizations. Membership is limited to the top 40 attorneys under the age of 40 in each state who have demonstrated excellence and have achieved outstanding results in their careers.
