Tyler helps clients navigate complex commercial litigation matters, guiding disputes through all stages of state and federal court proceedings.
Tyler chose a legal career out of a love of reading and writing, drawn to a field where precise language and careful analysis make a real difference for the people involved. Before joining Husch Blackwell, Tyler spent two years clerking for U.S. District Judge Susan M. Bazis in the District of Nebraska. While clerking, Tyler honed his legal writing skills and gained firsthand insight into how trials are conducted, how judges evaluate arguments, and what separates persuasive briefing from the rest. He also benefitted from the District of Nebraska’s busy docket by having a front-row seat to several bench and jury trials. During law school, Tyler gravitated toward classes and competitions focused on litigation. He was a member of the first place and best brief award-winning team in the Thomas Stinson Allen Moot Court Competition and was a member of the University of Nebraska College of Law’s National Moot Court Team. He also served as an Executive Editor on the Nebraska Law Review, preparing articles for publication and refining his eye for detail along the way.
Tyler works to understand clients’ broader business goals and industry before diving into the specifics of a matter. He aims to communicate effectively at every stage, whether internally with colleagues or externally with the court and opposing counsel, and takes pride in being a clear, careful writer.
