Overview

Tara is a corporate transactional attorney who focuses her practice on both commercial and business aviation, combining her legal insight and deep commercial experience to help clients navigate complex aviation and corporate matters.

Her legal knowledge, business acumen, and scientific training enable her to approach sophisticated transactions and decisions with an eye toward both the immediate legal issue and its broader business implications. Before practicing law, Tara had an expansive career in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, including various leadership and client engagement roles, where she developed a firsthand understanding of risk, negotiation, stakeholder management, and how organizations set and pursue strategic priorities.

Tara focuses her practice primarily on aviation transactions, including aircraft acquisitions and sales, leasing, chartering, and corporate aircraft use. Her practice also encompasses commercial aviation matters, including aircraft acquisitions and leasing, procurement, and contracts with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). In addition, she draws on her business experience to advise clients on broader corporate matters.

Earlier in her career, Tara held sales and commercial leadership roles with both global pharmaceutical and emerging life sciences companies, where she led product launches, developed strategic partnerships, worked with senior executives and global experts, and navigated highly regulated environments. These experiences gave her insight into the competing priorities that shape business decisions and the importance of balancing legal, operational, and financial considerations.

Tara’s life-long interest in aviation led her to pursue a career in aviation law. During law school, she interned with the Chief Counsel’s Office of the Transportation Security Administration in Washington, D.C., and later worked with a law firm representing a major aircraft manufacturer in aviation litigation and aircraft accident matters. She subsequently joined a boutique aviation law firm, where she assisted with aviation transactions for large corporations with private aircraft fleets and ultra-high-net-worth individuals on private aircraft ownership.

Clients value Tara’s ability to understand the big picture while focusing on the details that matter. She considers the operational realities of a decision and the cascading consequences of each option. She is collaborative, highly responsive, and focused on providing clear guidance that advances clients’ interests. Most importantly, Tara understands the importance of building relationships with clients and seeks to truly understand their needs and objectives before providing guidance, allowing her to serve not just as legal counsel, but as a trusted adviser invested in each client’s long-term success.
