Parker helps clients navigate complex commercial litigation matters, guiding disputes through all stages of state and federal court proceedings.
Parker studied accounting as an undergraduate and enjoyed its analytical rigor, but he wanted a career with more intellectual challenge. Accounting problems tended to have one correct answer reached by applying the right formula, while legal problems rarely worked that way. That gray area is what drew Parker to law school, where he could weigh competing arguments and figure out the strongest position on an issue.
Commercial litigation appealed to Parker because it combines problem-solving, strategy, and advocacy. During law school, he took Anti-Discrimination Law, which gave him a new perspective on how the law shapes people’s everyday lives. As an undergraduate, Parker also spent a month shadowing a judge, watching attorneys present arguments, an experience that gave him an early appreciation for preparation and advocacy.
As a summer associate at Husch Blackwell, Parker worked on a range of matters, including mergers and acquisitions, entity formation, and general litigation claims. He valued the variety of the work and the chance to collaborate with attorneys across practice areas, gaining a clear sense of the firm’s emphasis on strong work product and teamwork.
Clients can expect Parker to stay closely engaged with their matters, keeping them informed and making sure they feel like a priority. He pairs that attentiveness with an analytical approach to problem-solving, breaking down complicated issues and explaining his thinking in clear, useful terms.
