Overview

Mohamad represents banks and other lenders in middle market lending transactions.

With an undergraduate degree in finance, Mohamad was drawn to law by a desire to utilize his analytical thinking, business-oriented mindset, and interpersonal skills.

As a law student, he served with his school’s Entrepreneurship and Community Development Clinic, where he gained hands-on experience helping clients start nonprofits, LLCs, and other business entities. His time with the clinic, coupled with his success in a contract-drafting course, solidified his interest in Banking & Finance. He found it truly rewarding to navigate obstacles to achieve a client’s goal.

Mohamad’s clerkship with a corporate service provider further shaped his understanding of client needs. He learned to adapt to different communication styles, a skill he believes is crucial for any successful attorney. Mohamad also served as a summer associate at Husch Blackwell, drafting more than 15 different ancillary loan documents and working on a pro bono case for an Afghan asylum seeker.

Mohamad’s finance degree gives him a client-centric perspective: he understands business-oriented thinking, and he aims to think the way clients do. He is also known for his personable nature, charisma, and energy. An excellent listener with a keen attention to detail, Mohamad values transparent communication. He is committed to meeting clients’ goals in the most efficient and effective manner possible.

Outside the Office

A sports fan, Mohamad loves basketball, whether playing, coaching, watching, hosting charity tournaments, or accidentally memorizing commentary of famous NBA moments. His favorite team is the Rockets, and his favorite all-time player is Hakeem Olajuwon. Mohamad also plays flag football, watches the NFL, and roots for the Texans.

When he’s not keeping up with sports, Mohamad writes and performs poetry and enjoys watching complicated movies. In his view, the best film is one in which the ending requires a Google explanation. He’s an avid Christopher Nolan fan, his favorite movie is The Dark Knight, and he’s known for his Joker impression.

Mohamad’s faith is very important to him. He regularly attends classes on Islam and is always looking to learn more and improve himself.

Community Leadership

Mohamad is active with his local mosque, where he oversees and coaches a youth basketball team and volunteers with a biweekly food bank and grocery drive. He also serves as a leader for a weekly Friday night youth boys’ program.
