Overview

Mikah represents clients in renewable energy real estate transactions.

After beginning her legal career in traditional real estate work, Mikah found herself working most often with the firm’s Energy Real Estate partners—and she quickly realized that she wanted to focus her own practice in this area. Originally drawn to real estate partly by its emphasis on collaboration, she knew she loved both the firm’s energy team and its renewable energy clients, as well as the dynamic nature of the industry. However, what Mikah most appreciated was the clear benefit renewable energy projects offered: she’d first loved real estate for the way projects developed communities, and she saw renewable energy as among the most philanthropic real estate projects possible. She was enthusiastic about the opportunity to help not only the firm’s clients and the parties in an individual transaction, but also the wider world.

Mikah represents both developers and the lenders who finance utility-scale projects, offering support and assistance at all project stages, from site planning to document negotiation and financing to eventual sale. While her primary focus is solar energy, she has worked with wind and battery storage projects as well. Mikah has experience nationwide and loves the excitement of working on developments from coast to coast.

With a strong reputation for attention to detail, Mikah is known for taking ownership and truly immersing herself in a client’s project. She’s invested not only in the specifics of the transactions and the current state of a site or facility, but in long-term plans and the project’s full life cycle.

Outside the Office

Mikah loves running and completed her first marathon last year. She’s also recently gotten into plants and gardening: after completing the bar exam, she used her time before her Husch Blackwell start date to gather a selection of indoor plants and attempt to keep them alive. Her collection has now grown to more than 30, and so far, everything’s still living.

Community Leadership

Mikah has served as a reading and writing tutor through Kids Hope at Orchard Knob Elementary School in Chattanooga. She also serves as a caregiver at the Isaiah 117 house.
