Overview

McKale represents clients in commercial disputes, supporting them from initial case strategy through resolution.

Before law school, McKale worked in higher education, holding positions focused on student advising and advocacy at the University of Oregon. Helping students navigate complex institutional procedures and contributing to university policymaking revealed her passion for  solving problems when people need it most. This experience pointed her toward a legal career where she could continue that kind of work on a larger scale.

McKale was drawn to litigation as a natural fit for her interest in writing and collaborative problem-solving. During law school, McKale’s favorite course was legal writing, and she served as the Lead Student Note Editor for the Colorado Technology Law Journal. In this role, she helped classmates prepare their legal scholarship for publication while also publishing her own article, which earned her the biennial Sandgrund Consumer Rights Award. She also interned with the Revenue and Regulatory Law Section of the Colorado Attorney General's Office, where she conducted legal research and helped prepare pleadings, including a successful motion for summary judgment.

As a summer associate at Husch Blackwell, McKale contributed research and writing across commercial litigation, labor and employment, and education matters. She had the opportunity to draft motions, discovery responses, and legal memoranda for various commercial disputes. She also took part in client consultations, attended depositions and arbitrations, and participated in core strategy sessions.

McKale is known for her attentiveness and ability to translate elaborate facts into clear and compelling legal narratives. She approaches every matter with a genuine interest in the people behind the dispute, ensuring that clients feel heard and understood from the outset. This client focus, combined with rigorous preparation, translates into well-supported, persuasive arguments that clients and colleagues alike can trust.

McKale is an avid traveler who is just as happy car camping across national parks as she is relaxing on the coast in Croatia and Italy.

On weekends in Denver, she enjoys exploring Denver’s art museums and restaurant scene, hiking, and following each year’s Academy Awards season, including an annual tradition of predicting the winners.
