Mariel focuses on intellectual property law, particularly trademarks and copyrights.

Mariel’s legal career began with a job as an administrative assistant at a law firm after college. Drawn to the collaborative nature of the field and the constant opportunity for learning, she went on to enroll in law school, where she honed her legal writing skills as part of the law journal.

Mariel also discovered a passion for intellectual property law. She was especially fascinated by the intricacies of trademarks, from the application process to the protection and management of portfolios. Her experience as a summer associate also included a primary focus on IP projects, and the experience broadened her understanding and deepened her appreciation for the field.
