Kelly provides labor and employment counsel and litigation services.
Inspired by a family background in law, Kelly was drawn to the legal field for its problem-solving opportunities and the challenges it presents. Her interest in the labor and employment practice area stems from a desire for direct client interaction and the opportunities to build long-term relationships with clients as she helps businesses avoid litigation and remain in compliance with the law.
During law school, Kelly participated in her university’s Entrepreneurship Legal Clinic, gaining hands-on experience with clients, and explored the evolving landscape of sports law through a Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) course. A judicial externship provided additional insights into the legal process, as she observed effective argument styles and judicial decision making.
As a summer associate at Husch Blackwell for two consecutive summers, Kelly worked on diverse projects, including drafting employer guidance for FMLA, ADA, and worker’s compensation claims; conducting a 50-state survey on guns in the workplace laws; and creating a Title IX compliance presentation for schools.
Kelly is known as practical, creative, and results-driven. A background in college athletics has shaped her time management, organization, and work ethic, and clients can expect Kelly to be invested in their success and adept at working under pressure.
