Jenn represents clients in bankruptcy proceedings.
Jenn primarily focuses her practice on the representation of debtors and creditors in bankruptcy proceedings and related litigation. She routinely handles discovery, briefing, hearing preparations, court appearances, and motion practice in complex bankruptcy proceedings, including Chapter 11 and Chapter 15 proceedings. While she works with clients across a range of industries, she has particularly strong experience in airline bankruptcies.
In addition to her experience handling bankruptcy matters on behalf of both debtors and creditors, Jenn’s background also includes a clerkship with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York, where she assisted with drafting opinions on Chapter 7, 11, and 15 cases, both large and small.
After college, Jenn worked in the justice system and soon realized she wanted an advocacy role. A later position at a legal non-profit showed her how much she enjoyed legal argument, leading her to law school. As a law student, Jenn was drawn to the complexity of corporate law and chose to join a corporate-focused firm after graduation. Fascinated by the idea of disassembling and reassembling large companies and business operations, she quickly found herself gravitating toward bankruptcy cases, which required a combination of litigation skills, dealmaking, and corporate structure analysis.
A strong advocate in court, Jenn works hard to craft the strongest possible arguments to advance a client’s position but also knows the value of being prepared to address even your weakest arguments in detail and being ready to quickly pivot to address the concerns of the judge. Her experience in the Southern District of New York left her with an in-depth understanding of the nuances of bankruptcy courts as courts of equity, where attorneys must balance legal knowledge with practical commercial arguments. Clients can rely on her for clear, but thoughtful and thorough answers, and she is committed to making the process as comfortable as possible.
