Overview

Jana assists clients with complex tax credit transactions and other real estate projects.

An Army veteran with a keen sense of discipline, organization and time management, Jana was attracted to transactional law because of its order and complexity. As a self-described “super planner,” she was particularly drawn to tax credits due to the careful planning and attention to detail these projects often require.

Jana works on real estate transactions that involve a variety of tax credit financing. A valued member of the firm’s Development Incentives & Tax Credits team, she drafts transaction documents and opinions. Jana is well versed in New Market Tax Credit (NMTC) transactions representing Community Development Entities (CDEs), Qualified Active Low Income Community Businesses (QALICBs) and investors. In addition, Jana has worked with Low Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC), Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) financing and historic tax credits (HTC).

Jana finds it truly rewarding to know her work is helping clients give back and benefit their communities. She loves seeing client projects come to fruition and witnessing the impact new developments have on neighborhoods.
