Overview

With a background as a software engineer, Danielle assists major corporations in securing patents for new software developments and related technologies.

Danielle focuses her practice on patent prosecution, drafting patent applications and responding to Office actions. She also has experience with infringement and invalidity analysis and Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) proceedings. Most of her work centers on software, and she has drafted applications for advancements relating to software security, microprocessors, integrated circuits, user interface functionality, digital assistant technology, search engines, network communications, operating systems, code parallelization, content creation, and temperature sensing applications. Danielle has worked with clients that include household name companies and well-known brands in both the technology sphere and online consumer banking.

Danielle was the kind of kid who looked forward to math classes, an interest that naturally led to an engineering degree. An undergraduate during the early 2000s digital boom, she focused her electrical engineering studies primarily on software and worked first as a software engineer, gaining practical experience in both coding and system design in a role with Northrop Grumman.

Encounters with patent attorneys during her undergraduate studies had sparked an interest in intellectual property law, eventually leading to law school and a career in patent prosecution. After practicing at an IP-focused firm, Danielle joined Husch Blackwell in 2025. She’s passionate about innovation and values the opportunity to learn something new with each project.

Clients benefit from Danielle’s direct, hands-on experience as a software engineer and her practical grasp of each project. She understands the challenges engineers face and communicates effectively with technical teams. Known for her commitment and dedication to client projects, Danielle values building personal relationships with clients—a goal always made easier by her genuine and authentic approach.
