Cris is a senior paralegal whose work centers on patent prosecution.

Cris assists attorneys in preparing and filing U.S. patent applications for a large Japanese client. She assisted with the firm’s first inter partes review cases, which resulted in a successful outcome with no disruption to the client’s business.

Cris’ representative work experience includes:

  • Electronically filing U.S. patent applications, divisional/continuation applications, provisional applications, PCT U.S. national stage applications and related matters.
  • Preparing and filing prosecution documents, including:
    • RCE
    • QPIDS Pilot Program documents
    • Information disclosure statements
    • Petitions for withdrawal from Issuance
    • Petitions to Extend Time
    • Issue Fee/Maintenance Fee and other Fee Transmittals
    • Correction documents
  • Maintaining more than 1,200 patent prosecution files for a major Japanese client.
  • Corresponding with foreign and domestic clients to forward documents, make inquiries, and explain and clarify work performed.
  • Solving problems and issues that arise with online electronic filings at the U.S. Patent Office.
