Overview

Colin represents clients in fiduciary, trust, probate, and estate litigation, achieving the best results possible in difficult situations.

Although Colin came from a family of businesspeople, he knew his chief interest was always the legal system. He initially began his career in sales but soon enrolled in law school, where he discovered that his sales training had prepared him well for the persuasion and advocacy required in litigation, both in and outside of the courtroom. Colin’s personal experience with a family business and probate litigation drew him to the private wealth arena, and he joined a boutique probate litigation firm in Dallas immediately after graduation.

Five years later, Colin’s firm merged with Husch Blackwell, where he continues to devote the majority of his practice to fiduciary, trust, probate, and estate litigation. He represents clients in cases involving contested wills, allegations of undue influence or incompetency, and other related controversies, and he also oversees the administration of highly complex trusts and estates. Colin also occasionally handles guardianship litigation and has been appointed to serve as an Attorney Ad Litem by Texas courts.

Colin is known for his attention to detail. However, clients most value his personal, intimate understanding of their difficult situations: having experienced probate litigation in his own family, Colin has seen the stressful, emotional nature of these cases firsthand. He knows how important skilled, supportive legal counsel is, and he delivers the personal advocacy clients need.

Outside the Office

Colin loves spending time outdoors, especially if it involves mountain biking. He can be found most weekends on his bike on one of Dallas’s many trails, and he also enjoys hunting, hiking, and overlanding in his vehicle.

Most of all, Colin values time with his wife, as well as the couple’s two dogs, Lola and Lady.
