Burak draws on an in-depth knowledge of electrical engineering and applied physics to assist clients in protecting new technologies.

A patent agent with a robust background in electrical engineering and applied physics, Burak prepares and prosecutes patents and guides clients’ patent strategies. His extensive experience encompasses fields such as computer architecture, information security, data management, artificial intelligence, and optical/photonic devices.

Burak earned his doctoral degree and second master’s in applied physics from Rice University, focusing his research on theoretical and experimental light-matter interactions to develop next-generation optical instruments. He also holds a master’s in electrical engineering, where he researched novel metastructures for bio/chemical sensing and communication. Burak’s bachelor’s degree in electrical and electronics engineering involved research on phase-change materials for memory applications and active battery balancing topologies for hybrid systems.

In 2021, Burak shifted from academia to the legal world, later joining Husch Blackwell in 2025. He is dedicated to providing clients with a top-quality work product accompanied by highly responsive, timely service.

When he’s not at work, you can usually find Burak spending time with his family. He is also passionate about soccer, basketball, badminton, table tennis, and going to music festivals.
