Anna handles real estate work for energy projects, with a focus on supporting renewable energy development.
A desire to use the law as a tool for positive environmental change led Anna to law school. After studying environmental policy and working in climate advocacy during her undergraduate years, Anna saw how legal frameworks shape real-world outcomes and wanted to be part of building solutions to environmental challenges.
Anna was naturally drawn to real estate and energy because these areas bring together sustainability, business, and policy. The opportunity to help clients take renewable energy projects from concept to reality while balancing legal, environmental, and community considerations aligns with Anna’s commitment to advancing clean energy.
Anna gained valuable experience by serving as president of the Environmental Law Society and the UMKC Law Review Board research editor. Anna’s work as a research assistant on environmental and regulatory issues and article on the regulation of PFAS chemicals reinforced her focus on the intersection of law and environmental impact.
During law school, Anna had several relevant work experiences through a policy externship with the Animal Legal Defense Fund, litigation experience on construction and land use issues, and a judicial internship observing court proceedings. Anna also served as a summer associate at Husch Blackwell, working on matters involving FERC energy regulations and tax incentives for solar development while gaining insight into the regulatory, transactional, and land use aspects of renewable projects.
Anna is known for her collaborative and solutions-oriented approach, attention to detail, and strong research and analytical skills. Clients can expect clear guidance, practical solutions, and a commitment to helping achieve project goals.
