Anastasia Caffrey

Clery Compliance Program Manager
Overview

Anastasia supports clients in their use of Husch Blackwell’s Clery Compliance Toolset.

Anastasia draws on nearly 20 years of experience at higher education institutions, often in roles in enrollment and business development, as well as a role with a higher education technology and software provider. She’s well aware of the industry’s needs and challenges, including those relating to security and law enforcement: she grew up with a father who was the police chief of a Kansas college town.

At Husch Blackwell, Anastasia serves as the firm’s Clery Compliance Program Manager, assisting clients in their implementation of the Clery Compliance Toolset. She ensures users are comfortable with its functionality and satisfied with the service they receive from the firm. Her goal is to help clients find value in the tool beyond their expectations.

Higher education is a world Anastasia understands from the inside out—she’s worked on campuses and inside residence halls, and she’s extensively familiar with schools’ internal structures, intricacies and limitations. It’s also a world Anastasia truly loves: she describes colleges and universities as places of great possibility, and she’s always excited to work with the staff, faculty and administration who are so deeply committed to student development. Anastasia knows how much higher education clients want to comply with the law, and she is dedicated to ensuring that they have the tools they need to do so.

Outside the Office

With a young son at home, Anastasia devotes much of her time to her family. She jokes that her main hobby is reading children’s books in fun voices.

She’s also an avid—and brave—home renovator who loves DIY projects, although she has a tendency to get too excited and too ambitious too quickly. (This may be why there are approximately 10 unfinished projects in her house at any given time.)

Anastasia also loves party planning. She’s always excited to plan her son’s birthday parties, and she’s the go-to person in her family for nieces’ and nephews’ parties, upcoming wedding and baby showers, or any sort of creative event.

Community Leadership

Anastasia is passionate about volunteering and giving back to her community.

She enjoys volunteering in new places and dividing her time between various organizations, but one of her favorites is Jerusalem Farm, which assists with home repair needs in the Kansas City area.

Anastasia has also worked with Heart to Heart International, Cultivate KC, Johnson County Christmas Bureau, KidsTLC, Olathe, Harvesters Community Food Network and Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kansas City.
