Cindy is a senior paralegal who has extensive experience working with clients, law firms, corporations, lending institutions, and federal, state and local governmental agencies.

Cindy works primarily with high net-worth clients on entity formation, management and maintenance. She coordinates all aspects of complex transactions, paying close attention to detail and providing consistent follow-up. With a belief that her top priority is working closely with attorneys and clients to build relationships that lead to lifelong representation, Cindy plays an essential role in communicating with clients regarding:

  • Asset titling
  • Entity administration
  • Business valuations
  • Revocable and irrevocable trusts
  • Life insurance planning
  • Tax reporting

Researching and identifying issues relating to entity maintenance and asset titling are services Cindy regularly handles for clients and legal teams. She also monitors and calendars deadlines for corporate annual reports and related administration matters, prepares illustrative spreadsheets for business and estate planning matters, and provides instructional correspondence for clients.

Clients appreciate that Cindy stays current by attending monthly continuing legal education (CLE) meetings and university classes on business law, management and organizational behavior, information systems concepts and applications, and financial management.

  • Composes formation or qualification filings for all entity types on nationwide basis (primary states of Delaware, Missouri, Illinois, Arizona, Texas, Florida, Nevada, California and South Dakota); recapitalizes stock for corporate entities; and prepares operating agreements, partnership agreements, minutes, bylaws, ownership certificates, assignments of interests, equipment lease agreements, reorganization plans, buy-sell agreements, dissolution filings and other business agreements.
  • Administers family charitable foundations, including preparing annual minutes and working with accountant to complete tax reporting. Works with state government to secure tax clearances and with Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to obtain tax identification numbers. Well versed in income tax filings, interest charge domestic international sales corporation (IC-DISC) elections and Subchapter S elections (including Qualified Subchapter S Subsidiary elections).
  • Handles tax appeal and penalty abatement work with IRS and state revenue offices.
  • Assists with real estate matters, including research of records for nationwide county assessor and recorder of deeds offices and preparation of deeds of conveyance and real estate lease agreements. Works with lenders to secure consents to transfer real estate.
Outside the Office

Cindy enjoys family time.

Cindy cycles the Katy Trail and goes fishing with her husband. When indoors, she likes social scrapbooking. Her creations are often meaningful gifts for family and friends. She also takes cooking classes and loves playing with her grandchildren.
