Situation
Olin has been in litigation for over 30 years with insurance companies regarding their coverage obligations for remediation and defense costs at numerous environmental sites. We have counseled Olin and tried several cases to juries in federal court in New York.
Result
We have obtained jury verdicts and/or settlements of more than $175 million. The disputes have involved complex insurance, contractual, scientific, environmental and factual issues that required marshaling of evidence from the 1950s through the present, and the presentation of testimony and evidence in an understandable manner to the juries.
