Workplace Violence in Healthcare

Mitigating Risks of Violence Inside and Outside of Your Facility Walls

March 7, 2023

Related Industry:

Violence in the workplace presents a growing and significant challenge to healthcare employers, patients, providers and staff.

Because healthcare facilities often have open doors, they are frequently the site of violence that may result from external conflict carried into the facility or perpetrated by patients, family members or co-workers against healthcare workers.

In this webinar, Husch Blackwell attorneys and guests will offer multi-disciplinary perspectives on the strategies for mitigating the risk of violence from both inside and outside the facility walls, including but not limited to collaboration between healthcare facilities and law enforcement.

MaLiz Denk, Chief Risk Officer and Deputy General Counsel, Children's Mercy
Jane Drummond, General Counsel and Senior Vice President of Governmental Relations, Missouri Hospital Association (Husch Blackwell alum, too!)
Barbara A. Grandjean, Partner, Husch Blackwell
John Nicoletti, Ph.D., ABPP, Partner, Police and Public Safety Psychology
