We will review the implications of being a joint employer under various federal statutes including the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA), the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Title VII, and the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). We will also examine the joint employer standard within the worker’s compensation context, and outline best practices for potential joint employers.
