Title IX Foundations

Our Title IX Foundations course is an introductory-level course tailored for new members of your Title IX team or those seeking a refresher in basic Title IX principles. It provides an overview of your school’s obligations under Title IX and VAWA, and training on the various forms of sexual misconduct. It equips attendees with an understanding of basic issues of consent (including incapacitation) and describes the various components of a Title IX investigation. Each module of our training includes a live presentation with breakout activities using realistic scenarios.

Title IX Issues and Trends

Our Title IX Issues and Trends workshop for 2019 goes beyond basic concepts to address issues and trends emerging from regulations and case law. The workshop involves live presentations, realistic scenarios, and engaging exercises where attendees collaborate and discuss.

  • “Me too” historic complaints
  • Social media and internet harassment
  • Employee-on-employee cases
  • Addressing inappropriate, but not harassing, conduct
  • Cross-complaints and trauma considerations

Workshop Cost
$350 for one day or $700 for both days. Fees include full-day program, written materials, continental breakfast and lunch. 

Who Should Attend
College and university sexual misconduct investigators, Title IX coordinators and other Title IX team members.

Continuing Education Credit
This program is pending approval for Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Missouri and Wisconsin continuing legal education credit, and for HR Certification Institute and Society for Human Resource Management recertification credit.
