Tom O’Day will present, "Social Media Policies: Best Practices to Avoid Interfering with Employees’ Rights Under the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA)," at the Wisconsin Healthcare Human Resources Association (WisHHRA) 2023 Webinar Series on Tuesday, October 10, 2023.
This webinar will discuss recent decisions and guidance by the NLRB impacting an employer’s right to regulate their employees’ use of social media, both on and off duty. This session will apply to both unionized and non-unionized workforces and will have relevance to healthcare employers who have implemented policies, some of which may be criticized by employees on social media. We will cover ways employers may unintentionally interfere with their employees’ rights to engage in protected concerted activity through social media and best practices for promoting a positive and productive work environment while refraining from interfering with employees’ rights.
