Sonia Ramirez Anderson will present "On the Hot Seat: Corporate Response to Social Justice Issues," for National Employment Law Council Regional Conference (NELC) on Wednesday, October 26, 2022.

American public discourse has become increasingly polarized and rancorous. As a result, investors, consumers, and employees are demanding that corporations take a stance on hot-button political and social issues--whether that be political support, political contributions, the BLM movement, religious liberty, or reproductive rights and other gender-related issues. Our panelists will discuss the potential legal, ethical, and PR pitfalls of taking a stance or failing to do so. They will also address best practices for taking principled positions in a way that minimizes negative impacts.
