The Coalition for Renewable Natural Gas (RNG Coalition) has appointed Andrew Eastman as a member of its legal and tax committees.

Based in St. Louis, Eastman previously served as general counsel to a national developer of RNG and related projects. He oversaw that company’s transactional, commercial, and litigation matters, including its $347 million acquisition by a special purpose acquisition company with a green energy focus. That acquisition and a concurrent combination of that company with its leading competitor led to the creation of one of the nation’s largest publicly traded RNG suppliers.

Eastman, who was elected to the Husch Blackwell partnership, effective January 1, 2024, also serves on the RNG Coalition’s Renewable Power, Renewable Fuels, and Renewable Gas Advisory Boards.

The RNG Coalition is a non-profit organization dedicated to the sustainable advancement of renewable natural gas (RNG) as a clean, green alternative to fossil fuel and as a domestic energy resource—and as a key method of addressing global climate change. The RNG Coalition’s advisory boards aggregate industry experience and expertise to support its Sustainable Methane Abatement and Recycling Timeline (SMART), an initiative designed to capture and control methane emissions from over 43,000 North American organic waste sites by 2050.

Leadership Advisory Boards (LABs) bring together RNG Coalition member representatives to provide expertise, insight, and critical input to advance RNG Coalition’s mission and further the achievement of their SMART Initiative.
