News Releases

Husch Blackwell partner Lowell Pearson was named by The Missouri Times as being one of the top 50 political professionals in the state of Missouri. The feature, titled “50 Political Pros You Need to Know,” appeared in the 2017 summer issue of The Missouri Times Magazine.

Pearson serves as the office managing partner of Husch Blackwell’s Jefferson City, Missouri, office. He is a member of the firm’s Healthcare, Life Sciences & Education and Technology, Manufacturing & Transportation industry groups and its Government Solutions team.

A highly regarded litigator, Pearson recently received a 2017 Missouri Lawyers Award for his victory on behalf of the Missouri Automobile Dealers Association in litigation against the Missouri Department of Revenue in which the court ruled that licenses granted to Tesla Motors violated the Missouri Motor Vehicle Franchise Practices Act, a law requiring that vehicles be sold through dealerships.

From 2005 to 2009, Pearson served as Missouri’s Deputy Director of Revenue and, later, as General Counsel in Missouri Governor Matt Blunt’s administration. Outside of his tenure in public service, Pearson has practiced at Husch Blackwell since 1995.
