Partner Lowell Pearson was recently named the Jefferson City, Mo., office managing partner. Pearson follows in the footsteps of Harvey M. Tettlebaum, who has served in the position since 1990. Tettlebaum will continue his practice as a Healthcare, Life Sciences & Pharmaceuticals Partner.

A member of the firm’s Technology, Manufacturing & Transportation team, Pearson is known as a savvy litigator and governmental affairs professional. He has represented businesses and individuals in commercial disputes and in matters before state government and has made multiple appearances before the Missouri Supreme Court in employment and constitutional cases. Pearson first joined the firm in 1995, left to serve in Missouri Gov. Matt Blunt’s administration in 2005, and returned to Husch Blackwell in 2009.

"Lowell is a brilliant lawyer with extensive experience in state government as counsel to the Governor and previously counsel to the Secretary of State and Deputy Director of the Missouri Department of Revenue,” Tettlebaum said. “His experience provides him the background and contacts to lead the Jefferson City office and effectively assist our clients with their regulatory and other legal issues.”
