Kate Heideman Receives St. Louis Business Journal's 30 Under 30 Award

Husch Blackwell Sanders associate Kate Heideman has been included in St. Louis Business Journal's 30 Under 30 class of 2009. The award honors 30 area leaders under the age of 30 for making significant contributions within the St. Louis community.

Heideman focuses her practice in the area of Labor & Employment law. She is also on the firm's recruiting committee. Heideman has obtained favorable resolutions in cases before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Missouri Commission on Human Rights, the St. Louis Civil Rights Enforcement Agency, and the Illinois Department of Human Rights. She advises employers regarding human resources issues including personnel policies, employment contracts, employee handbooks and severance agreements. Her clientele includes Applebee's International, Inc., Forest Pharmaceuticals, Inc., and WorldWide Technology, Inc.

Heideman volunteers her time with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Missouri, Inc., a local branch of the largest and oldest youth mentoring program in the United States, whose mission is to "provide a mentor for every child who wants or needs one". She has been a mentor for the nonprofit for over two years.
