Husch Blackwell partner Paul Pautler was tabbed for a two-year term as President of the Academy of Hospitality Industry Attorneys (AHIA). He has been affiliated with the organization for almost two decades and was first elected to the AHIA board back in 2013. Pautler was selected as Vice President/President-Elect in 2019.
AHIA was formed by a group of attorneys who represent clients engaged in the hotel, restaurant, hospitality, travel, meeting, convention, tourism and related industries and who have demonstrated experience, competence and recognition in handling legal matters for industry clients. Membership is limited to those attorneys whom AHIA believes will best represent the principles of leadership and excellence in providing quality legal services.
Based in Kansas City, Pautler is a partner in Husch Blackwell’s Food & Agribusiness industry group and a co-leader of the firm’s Hospitality practice team. For over 25 years, he has represented clients inside the hospitality industry and beyond in labor and employment litigation. Pautler is ranked among the top labor and employment lawyers in Missouri by the Chambers USA and Benchmark Litigation legal directories.
Pautler is a frequent author and speaker and provides training for business and professional organizations regarding employment obligations and management strategies.
