Husch Blackwell is pleased to announce that Kansas City-based partner Fang Shen has been named president of the Asian American Chamber of Commerce of Kansas City (AACCKC). Shen was officially announced as incoming president at the AACCKC’s 15th annual gala, held May 10 at Sheraton Overland Park Hotel.

AACCKC was formed in 1998 as a non-profit organization to enhance the economic opportunities for Asian American businesses through education, networking, and advocacy and to enrich Kansas City businesses by providing diverse talents, resources, and opportunities.

“It is a privilege to lead the Chamber, and I am excited for the opportunity to continue our work,” Shen said. “We have experienced significant growth during the past decade, and we will continue to find new and innovative ways to provide our members and the community at large with the tools needed to compete in a global economy.”

A member of Husch Blackwell’s Food & Agribusiness industry group, Shen concentrates her practice on general corporate law, domestic and international mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate finance, global manufacturing and distribution, and trade compliance.
