Husch Blackwell is pleased to announce plans to relocate the firm’s Springfield office to 3810 E. Sunshine, a new three-story office building nearing completion; the building’s owner and operator is Raga Properties, LLC. Husch Blackwell currently maintains approximately 19,000 square feet across two floors in the Hammons Tower at 901 E. St Louis Street, where the firm’s Springfield office has been located since 1997. The firm’s current lease expires August 31, 2022.

“Our firm began exploring new office space in Springfield several years ago, and 3810 E. Sunshine quickly became a leading candidate,” said Husch Blackwell’s Springfield office managing partner Bryan Wade. “We have a firm-wide focus on being more efficient with our space and on creating an office environment that promotes teamwork, collaboration and wellness. We felt comfortable that the Architect, Baron Design & Associates, LLC, understood our goals and could help us create the kind of space that complements our overall firm culture.”

The firm will lease approximately 14,500 square feet, about three-quarters of its current space, furthering its efforts to reduce overall square footage across its portfolio through a combination of smaller offices, smarter uses of space, and more hoteling and common areas. The firm has also placed a priority on floor plan designs that provide ample natural lighting throughout the office and state-of-the-art technological amenities that can facilitate greater client interaction and work-from-home protocols.

“We have gained a great deal of experience in our previous build-outs across the firm’s footprint, including recent new offices in Milwaukee, Dallas, Chicago, and Denver,” said Bret Chapman, Husch Blackwell’s Chief Administrative Officer. “Striking up a collaboration with talented architects and other professionals has been key in developing a robust workplace strategy that best supports our attorneys, clients, and administrative staff, for many years to come. We look forward to partnering with Baron Design to create a premier location in Springfield.”

In addition to Husch Blackwell, Central Bank of the Ozarks and Baron Design will take space in the new building.
