Husch Blackwell Named Texas Firm of the Year at IFLR's Americas Awards 2025

National law firm Husch Blackwell is pleased to announce it was named Best in State: Texas at the IFLR Americas Awards 2025 on Wednesday evening.

The firm was one of five firms considered for the award, which focuses on legal innovation through dealmaking and celebrating work that improves the cross-border investment environment.

A few representative matters from 2024 include prevailing in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit on behalf of the State of Montana Department of Revenue in an appeal arising from a bankruptcy dispute dating back to 2011 against former billionaire Tim Blixseth; prevailing in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit on behalf of Gregory S. Milligan, the court-appointed receiver, in a dispute with two investor groups who challenged how the receiver’s distribution plan allocated recovered funds among claimants; and serving as lender’s counsel to Texas Capital Bank’s commercial lender finance group on bilateral and club deals to finance factoring companies and asset-based lenders.

Husch Blackwell was also a finalist for Firm of the Year in the US Domestic Firm: National category as well as Best in State: Missouri.
