Husch Blackwell is pleased to announce that Caroline Chicoine has joined the firm’s St. Louis office as Of Counsel in its Technology, Manufacturing & Transportation industry group.

Chicoine focuses her practice on intellectual property, with an emphasis on trademark and internet matters. For over twenty years she has counseled clients in connection with the selection, adoption and registration of new trademarks, as well as the development and implementation of enforcement strategies for combating infringement activity in the marketplace and on the internet. Her vast experiences with the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) allow her to provide clients with extensive experience in the domain name area, including the reclamation of domain names through negotiation and arbitration.

Chicoine obtained her J.D. from the John Marshall Law School-Chicago (1992) where she was an editor of the Software Law Journal, and her B.S. in Electrical Engineering (1988) from the University of Illinois.  She received the Volunteer Service Award for Advancement of the Association from the International Trademark Association in 2002 for her work in connection with the protection of trademarks online, and this spring will be starting her 11th year serving as an adjunct faculty member teaching the Trademark Practice course at Washington University School of Law in St. Louis.
