Commencement notice (Private): Optional.

Completion notice (Private): Optional.

Preliminary lien notice (Private): Not required.

Pre-lien notice (Private): Prime contractor - Not required; Subcontractor - 15th day of the month, 3 months after work was provided and payment has not been received.

Lien claim (Private): 15th day of the month, 4 months after the completing work.

Deadline to file suit (Private): The later of 2 years after filing lien or 1 year after completion of the entire project.

Bonding permitted (Private): Yes, must be 200% of the lien value if the lien is $40,000 or less and 150% of the lien value if the lien is greater than $40,000.

Statutory lien waiver form (Private): Yes.

Special notes: Multiple pre-lien notices may need to be sent if a subcontractor provides work over a long period of time.
