Situation

The Board of Regents for a state university alleged that a general contractor failed to properly execute the construction of a university hospital. The plaintiff demanded $9.45 million to compensate for the costs of remediation.

Result

Representing the general contractor, our team persuaded seven subcontractors and their bonding companies to pay the majority of the funds needed for settlement. Our client was responsible for paying only a very small fraction of the settlement amount.
