Winston is dedicated to protecting clients’ reputations and businesses.
Winston’s interest in the law stems from his love for research and storytelling. While pursuing a graduate degree in English, he set aside time to plan a historical novel. Surveying the relevant history, Winston often came across legal cases. He was fascinated by the careful thought required to solve complex issues, and he saw that advocacy was built on telling a convincing story.
In part due to his prior academic training, Winston most enjoyed legal writing and research courses. He learned how to find and present information in an efficient, precise, and useful manner. As a summer associate at Husch Blackwell, Winston assisted on white collar and commercial litigation matters in the healthcare space. He also externed with the federal district court in Waco, which deepened his understanding of procedure and further developed his research and writing skills.
Drawn to the nuanced and continuously evolving nature of the white collar field, Winston defends clients against allegations of wrongdoing and walks them through the investigation process. He understands that this practice area gets to the core of clients’ most valuable asset: their reputation.
Known for thorough preparation and effective communication, Winston is committed to zealous advocacy and ensuring clients’ interests are represented accurately and compellingly.
