Drawn to healthcare regulatory law by the opportunity to assist physicians, hospitals, and healthcare workers, Rachel enjoys statutory analysis and diving into complex regulations. She understands that the practice of healthcare is already immensely difficult, and she’s passionate about helping providers offer the best care possible while remaining legally compliant.
As a law student, Rachel externed at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, where she observed the inner workings of a government agency and applied her knowledge from administrative law courses. She also served as a summer associate at Husch Blackwell, where she worked closely with the Healthcare Regulatory practice group. Rachel assisted with Texas Medical Board cases, conducted statutory research, drafted letters to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, and attended client meetings to brainstorm creative solutions.
