Overview

Maverick advises clients on a range of corporate matters, including business formation, commercial transactions, and mergers and acquisitions.

Maverick’s interest in law grew out of his experience with debate and economics. High school and collegiate debate taught him to analyze competing arguments, communicate clearly, and adapt his thinking, while studying economics at Missouri State University strengthened his interest in how people and businesses make decisions. Law appealed to Maverick because it combined those skills with practical problem-solving and the chance to help clients navigate complex issues and accomplish their goals.

Corporate work drew Maverick in because of the problem-solving it demands. He enjoys understanding what a client is trying to accomplish, working through the different considerations involved, and finding a workable way forward. During law school, Maverick’s favorite class was Negotiation, where he worked through competing interests to find solutions that worked for everyone involved. He appreciated that success depended on understanding what each side needed, communicating effectively, and finding common ground rather than following a single right answer.

The same approach shapes how Maverick works with clients. Known for his willingness to listen, ask questions, and work through difficult problems, Maverick takes the time to understand both a client’s concerns and their goals. Clients can expect him to care about getting the details right while never losing sight of what they are ultimately trying to accomplish.
