Marisa assists with real estate needs in the energy industry.
Inspired by her family’s encouragement, a strong sense of perseverance, and a passion for advocacy, Marisa knew she wanted to be an attorney from a very young age. She values the opportunities law provides to solve problems and help others achieve their goals, especially as the first generation in her immediate family to attend college.
Her interest in real estate and energy law developed through hands-on experience during law school. Marisa enjoyed the collaborative and organizational aspects of real estate transactions, as well as the tangible impact these projects have on communities. Working on renewable energy real estate projects further sparked her interest, offering the chance to contribute to new developments and engage with emerging technologies.
During law school, Marisa held leadership roles as president of the Corporate and Business Law Society and as executive articles editor for the Corporate and Business Law Journal. These experiences strengthened her communication and networking skills and gave her insight into the detail-oriented nature of transactional practice. She also completed externships with the City of Scottsdale and a zoning law firm, where she worked on land entitlement research, zoning applications, and real estate matters.
Marisa worked as a summer associate at Husch Blackwell for two summers, focusing on real estate, renewable energy, and transactional projects and also spending time in-house with a major corporate client. She is known for building strong relationships, listening carefully, and working with determination to help clients reach their goals. Clients value Marisa’s reliability, communication skills, and practical approach to problem-solving.
