As Managing Director, Lakeeta is responsible for the unit’s overall strategic planning, business development, and economic growth, taking an active role in keeping the firm on its continued growth trajectory.
After more than 20 years in the legal industry and 10 years in leadership roles, Lakeeta joined Husch Blackwell in 2023 as managing director of the Healthcare, Life Sciences, and Education industry unit. It was a field where she has history: early in her career she leaned in to healthcare regulatory work, going on to earn an MBA with a concentration in Healthcare Administration. Impressed by the firm’s client-driven industry structure, she’d long been drawn to Husch Blackwell, and a management role with the Healthcare, Life Sciences, and Education practice was an ideal fit.
Lakeeta is a servant-leader who has always seen her number one responsibility as simply helping people develop and perform as highly as possible. More than two decades in, she still sees the best part of her job as the opportunity to help attorneys and clients.
