Drawn to the profession by her desire to help people, Keilan always knew she wanted to be a lawyer. Her passion for transactional work was solidified during her time in law school, particularly through a Business Law Bootcamp that introduced her to mergers and acquisitions, real estate transactions, and business planning.
Keilan is particularly interested in real estate thanks to its intersection with law, economics, and community building, especially in the realm of renewable and sustainable practices. She finds the opportunity to shape urban landscapes while contributing to environmentally responsible development incredibly exciting. Her focus on the renewable energy industry allows her to engage in meaningful work that positively impacts both businesses and communities.
During her time as a summer associate at Husch Blackwell, Keilan worked on a variety of projects, including drafting and reviewing purchase agreements, conducting due diligence, and preparing closing documents in real estate and corporate transactions. She also gained experience in commercial litigation and private wealth management, enhancing her understanding of litigation strategies and client advocacy.
