Julia draws on her accounting background to assist clients with real estate financing and tax matters.
With a lifelong love of numbers, Julia first went to college to study accounting, but an accounting professor told her she had an attorney’s mind. The observation fit Julia’s growing instinct that she’d prefer a career where she had more opportunities to develop creative solutions. She went ahead and earned her M.B.A. with an accounting focus, but then she enrolled in law school.
Julia previously served as a summer associate at Husch Blackwell, working with real estate and leasing matters as well as private wealth tax issues, before joining the firm as a full associate. She now assists clients in securing financing and creating the best tax structure possible for their real estate transactions.
Julia’s background provided her with a solid understanding of business structure, as well as with a distinct focus on clients. Her accountant training had already prepared her to work with clients and find ways to achieve their goals, a skill she applies daily to her legal work. Julia hopes clients see her as their true advocate, helping them achieve the best tax benefits and the fairest transaction possible.
