Jovita focuses on real estate work, including property transactions, leasing, and development matters.
Jovita chose to pursue a legal career after seeing firsthand how attorneys can make a difference for individuals and communities. Inspired by early experiences navigating the legal system within her own family, Jovita wanted to use legal training to serve others and address challenges that impact people’s lives.
Real estate law appealed to Jovita because of its lasting impact on communities and its practical, ever-present role in society. Clinic work as a student attorney provided direct experience supporting local businesses and affordable housing projects. At The University of Texas School of Law’s Entrepreneurship and Community Development Clinic, Jovita drafted contracts, condominium declaration documents, and real estate research assessments, building a solid foundation in real estate legal work while helping organizations in Austin.
Prior to law school, Jovita worked nearly a decade as a political consultant in the greater Travis County area. This work sharpened her ability to manage multiple priorities, communicate clearly, set realistic expectations, and meet deadlines—skills that translate directly to legal practice.
Jovita worked two summers as a summer associate at Husch Blackwell, focusing on real estate matters and legislative research. These experiences reinforced an interest in property law and provided hands-on exposure to the field.
Clients value Jovita’s strong work ethic, practical approach, and willingness to advocate for their position while encouraging collaboration. She is known for being approachable, hardworking, and committed to making the process clear and productive for everyone involved.
